Penny Pritzker

Penny Pritzker is an entrepreneur, civic leader and philanthropist. She's Chairman of the board of TransUnion, Chairman/CEO of Pritzker Realty Group, and Chairman and co-founder of Vi (formerly Classic Residence by Hyatt), The Parking Spot and Artemis Real Estate Partners.
TransUnion is a global financial information company which is expanding internationally to help countries build credit economics to fuel growth. Pritzker Realty Group invests in non-hotel real estate and developed the award winning Hyatt Center in Chicago's Loop. Vi (pronounced VEE) is a leading developer and operator of lifestyle communities that enrich the lives of older adults. The Parking Spot manages the largest network of off-site airport parking facilities in the U.S. Launched in 2010, Artemis Real Estate Partners is a private equity, real estate investment manager.
For the past two years, Ms. Pritzker served the Obama Administration as a member of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board which formulated and evaluated economic policy. She was National Finance Chair of the Barack Obama for President campaign and co-chair of the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committee. She's chairman of the newly launched Skills for America's Future, a public/private partnership of the private sector, the federal government and community colleges, which prepares workers for 21st century jobs.
She serves on the board of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. She's a past board member of the Wrigley Company, Marmon Group and LaSalle Bank Corporation.
Much of Ms. Pritzker's civic work focuses on public education. She's chairman of the Chicago Public Education Fund which is a venture philanthropy that raises private equity to invest in creating sustainable improvements in Chicago's public schools. She and her husband, Dr. Bryan Traubert, through The Pritzker Traubert Family Foundation, fund innovative initiatives to improve the quality of education, promote health and fitness and support art and cultural activities. As well, she serves on the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago.
Ms. Pritzker is a board member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a trustee of Stanford University, a trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, an advisory board member of Brookings Institution's Hamilton Project, a former chairman of the board of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and a former member of the Harvard University Board of Overseers.
Ms. Pritzker earned her bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University and J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Stanford University.
