GreenGov Symposium

GreenGov is a Council on Environmental Quality initiative focused on promoting Federal energy and sustainability efforts. With more than 360,000 buildings, 650,000 fleet vehicles, and $460 billion in annual purchasing power, the federal government has an obligation to lead by example when it comes to its environmental, energy, and economic performance.

The 2015 GreenGov Symposium will be held on June 10, 2015 in partnership with George Washington University (GW).  The event will take place on the GW campus in Jack Morton Auditorium. This year’s Symposium will bring together public and private sector leaders in policy, energy management, acquisitions and other areas important to sustainability to discuss strategies for achieving the goals articulated in the new Executive Order, “Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade,” signed by President Obama on March 19, 2015. The event will feature innovative thought leaders who will share ideas and strategies for achieving energy efficiency, clean energy targets, waste reduction, sustainable supply chains, greener fleets, and water reduction. 

Speakers include EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, White House Council on Environmental Quality Managing Director Christy Goldfuss, and a slew of expert panelists. More details on the Symposium as well as the draft agenda are available at greengov2015.org.
