William Kellibrew IV serves as the Deputy Director & National Victims Advocate for the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation (The National Coalition). He has extensive experience developing and directing civic engagement campaigns, work around public policy issues, campus organizing and is an international advocate for victims’ rights. Additionally, William regularly is a consultant for the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistant Center (OVC TTAC.) He offers unique experience. At six, William was violently raped and at ten, he helplessly watched as his mother, Jacqueline and twelve year-old brother, Anthony, were murdered in their living room by her estranged boyfriend. William’s life was spared; the killer committed suicide, but not before he had William beg for his life at gunpoint. William has since told his story of tragedy to triumph on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2007-08.
