Kevin Mitchell is the lead volunteer for ScriptEd, a non-profit that empowers students in low-income communities to become creators of technology by offering computer programming classes free of charge in their schools and by matching them with paid internships at technology firms. As a software engineer who benefited from a strong high school computer science program, his involvement in ScriptEd was inspired by his desire to ensure that all students have access to high quality computer programming instruction. He is responsible for developing curriculum materials, teaching classes, mentoring students, and driving the direction of ScriptEd's program.
