Kristen Hayes is a professional visual artist, educator, and an alumna of Pratt Institute who has exhibited nationally and internationally over a span of more than ten years. As a native Washingtonian and an art instructor for the District of Columbia's Public School system, she has dedicated her instructional career to enriching the lives of her students through self-knowledge of the African and African-American contribution to the American art forms and promoting the benefits of creative thinking in all academic subjects. Most recently, her personal artistic aspirations have translated into an upcoming entity named "Color Is Life," where the transformative powers of color are applied to the walls of any social environment in need of therapeutic adjustment.
