For Danny and Pam Spitler, business success and a love for travel has created opportunities to change children’s lives. Danny is a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in business management. In 1983, Danny cofounded OakCraft Inc., a manufacturer of kitchen and bath cabinetry, with LeRoy Zachek. The company now employs 200 people and has annual revenues of $15 million.
Pam worked as an international flight attendant for several years before attending and graduating from Lasing Business University. She then focused on medical malpractice issues during her law career before retiring in 2001.
The couple, who live in Phoenix, Arizona, was married in 2004. Following a trip to Cambodia the next year, they helped start a primary school in a small village there. In 2006, they formed the Spitler School Foundation to fund the school, which now provides a primary education to more than 600 children living in abject poverty.
