JoAnn Jordan is the Public Education Coordinator for the Seattle Office of Emergency Management. For the past two years, she has been the project manager for a regional public education effort that was funded through a Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant. The project culminated with a regional campaign called "What To Do To Make It Through". She has been in the field of education for over 30 years and has been specializing in disaster preparedness education for schools, businesses, and neighborhoods for 25 years. Her dedication to public education in both fire and life safety and disaster education has won her local and national honors.
