Dr. John Casey is currently the Chief Resident of Emergency Medicine at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from Virginia Tech, he served as a paramedic in Pulaski County, Virginia, and then obtained a M.A. degree from Radford University prior to entering the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Honored by the American Osteopathic Association in 2008 as the “Most Politically Active Medical Student,” he is a former Paul Ambrose and Training in Policy Studies Fellow. He participates on a number of local, regional, and national committees and is a resource to his patients and peers on policy matters including healthcare reform and access to quality care. Upon completion of residency he will remain in Columbus to work with Emergency Medicine Physicians.
