Contessa Jin serves as the Deputy Director of Design in the Office of Digital Strategy. Before joining the White House in May 2016, she worked as a designer at Blue State Digital, agencyQ, and Chong and Koster in Washington, D.C. Early in her career, she worked as a journalist covering Montgomery County, Maryland. Contessa is a native of Guam and a graduate of Salisbury University in Maryland.
