Grants and Resources

One of the goals of the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships is to make sure that neighborhood organizations are aware of relevant grant opportunities throughout the Federal Government. Neither the Office nor the Agency Centers award grants or administer or manage Federal grant programs, but they do notify community leaders about opportunities to apply for grants and other forms of Federal financial assistance. Grants.gov - This electronic system allows you to search for grant opportunities across multiple factors such as Agency, Services, Populations, and most Recently Announced.

USASpending.gov - This electronic system allows you to identify grants that have been awarded to entities in your community.

Recovery Opportunities

Recovery.gov - The website includes information about Federal grant awards and contracts as well as formula grant allocations.

Grant opportunities listed on Grants.gov - This website within Grants.gov lists information about grant opportunities related to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act or ARRA.

Research and Resources Database - This searchable database provides an opportunity to quickly and easily find information based on keywords or categories associated with the work of faith-based and community organizations.

Corporation for National and Community Service Resource Center - The Resource Center is the knowledge management training and technical assistance that is the best source for connecting service programs with targeted training and information.

Department of Health and Human Services Tools and Resources Page - This link provides tools and resources that have been assembled to enhance the work of faith-based and community organizations in areas such as technical assistance, emergency preparedness, research, and more.

Incorporate Your Nonprofit Organization in Your State - Many states have online information about nonprofit organizations and charitable activities.

Federal Tax Information for Charities and Nonprofits - This website provides information about points of intersection between nonprofit organizations and the IRS. The content includes explanatory information, and links to forms that an organization may need to file with the IRS.
