Vice President Joe Biden in Turkey
Vice President Biden led a U.S. delegation to the second Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Istanbul, Turkey this week. President Obama hosted the first Summit on Entrepreneurship last year in Washington, D.C.
Before arriving in Istanbul, Vice President Biden visited Turkey's capitol city, Ankara, where he met with President Abdullah Gul and the Speaker of the Parliament, Cemil Cicek, as well as laid a wreath at the Ataturk Mausoleum.
While in Istanbul, the Vice President met with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as well as visited the Greek Ecumenical Patriarchate where he met with His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
