The Affordable Care Act is helping expand access to quality care for millions of Americans. HealthCare.gov makes it easy for community members to learn about the benefits they are eligible for through the Affordable Care Act, and to compare insurance plans and find the option that’s best for them.
To aid in this effort, on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 4pm EST the HHS Partnership Center is hosting a virtual tour of HealthCare.gov with the site’s Managing Editor, Craig Stoltz.
Religious and community leaders play an important role connecting vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations to quality, affordable health care. We encourage you to share this information with your congregation and community to connect them to the care they need.
Continuing our efforts to reach partners in diverse communities, last week, we hosted a similar tour for faith and community leaders in Spanish speaking communities with Mayra Alvarez, Director of Public Health Policy at the HHS Office of Health Reform.
Mayra guided participants through CuidadoDeSalud.gov, the partner site of HealthCare.gov. This was the first-time our Center hosted a conference call, of any kind, entirely in Spanish. It was a great opportunity to reach deeper and develop a stronger connection between government and the community.
If you are interested in learning more about the virtual tour of HealthCare.Gov on March 10, 2011 and to obtain the call-in information, please e-mail us at Partnerships@hhs.gov.
