
Welcome to the Council on Women and Girls weekly highlights! This week, President Obama went to Cleveland Ohio to discuss how cities all across America can reinvent themselves to compete in a robust and modern economy. In Washington, the President hosted the first meeting of the President’s Council of Jobs and Competitiveness, which seeks to provide non partisan advice about strengthening our National economy and creating job opportunities. The President also addressed the crisis in Libya and urged the people of the region to strive for peace amidst monumental political change.
